Objectives
The Saudi-German Businessmen Group of Jeddah is a non-profit organization under the auspices of the German Consulate General in Jeddah. It wants to:

• Cultivate Saudi Arabian-German friendship, enhance the mutual understanding between the German and the Saudi business community in Jeddah and to reach out to Germany in the cultural and economic field
• Enhance commercial activity between Germany and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, offer a contact point to German companies and business leaders who want to visit or learn about Saudi Arabia
• Offer a contact point to former Saudi students in Germany and to Saudis who want to visit Germany and who want to know more about Germany

• Regular meetings and workshops
• Social activities involving spouses
• Road shows
• Saudi-German Women Group with separate activities

Eligibility

The membership in SGBJ is open for any person who is:

• A German national or a national from a German speaking nation
• A Saudi national with a German business connection or substantial interest in business or culture with Germany
• A national from any other nation in case the member has a German business connection or substantial interest in business with Germany
• Resident of Jeddah
• The membership committee has to finally approve the membership

Fees

• Annual membership: SR 1000

Self-Government

• Managed by a Board with two Co-Chairmen
• The Co-Chairmen must always be of different nationalities
• Board consists of 12 members (6 Saudi nationals and 6 German nationals)
• Two ladies representing the Women Group affiliated to the Board
• Bi-Annual elections during the general assembly
• Terms limited for two years

Nach hiesigen Informationen werden beide Organisationen Mitte 2005 in Jeddah aufgelöst.
Daher wird auch nicht darauf eingegangen
